Hill run

On Friday for fitness the classes did the hil run. I noticed lots of people didn't put an effort in, most of them walked up the hill. Lots of them came up to me making excuses for not running and a lot of them didn't listen to me when I told them to walk at least and not to stay on the side. Today I was dissapointed with the classes not listening and trying.

Beep test

 Today was fitness and it went really well. I talked to some of the kids and got to know them more. I'm starting to get used to this and knowing all of the kids and learning how to direct them in the right direction. Today was a good day.

Capture the flag

Today we played capture the flag on the lower fielded with combined classes. It was a very challenging day, most of the kids did not listen when I was trying to organize them into groups and they were being disrespectful. A lot of the girls came up to me and said that they felt bad for me because no one was listening because I wasn't the teacher and they think they can get away with whatever they want. If this happens again I am going to try a new approach, if a kid is not listening and being rude to me I will make them do 10 push-ups or burppees for example. Today was the hardest day yet but now I can use this for future classes if this happens again. I will not tolerate kids being rude and disrespectful to me.

Circuit

Today I would give myself an A for being a TA for fitness today because I had a positive attitude and answered the questions they had about the workout and helped them. They did the circuit so I went around and cheered for everyone and gave them ideas for workouts if they didn't know what to do. It was a really good fitness day.

Third week

  This week was a really fun week with both day 1 and 2 classes. I'm getting to know the grade 8s and 9s better and they're starting to talk to me a lot more now. I really enjoyed helping the classes this week and playing capture the flag with vaughn's class was really fun. I really like both of the classes the kids are really nice and it's really fun to help them and talk to them, I am really enjoying being a TA for both classes.

Second week

  My second week with the kids in day 1 and 2 period 3 has been really good. I have been trying to remember everyone's names. I really enjoy helping with the class, talking to the kids, and answering any of heir questions. I really enjoy being a peer tutor for pe. This week we played atomic volleyball and one of the days I played with the kids, it was really fun. This week was really good overall.

First week

 My first week as a peer tutor has been really good and educational. I learned a lot about what pe teachers do and what it's like to be one. It was really fun talking to the grade eights asking about how their week was going and answering their questions. So far being a peer tutor had been a really good experience and am looking forward to the rest of the semester.
